  This program, for the C-64, may be used with either one or two disk
  drives (1541 and/or 1571).  You will be able to decode Internet text
  messages containing encoded binary data, if the "MIME" ("base64") encoding
  method was used.  That method is similar to UUencoding, but without error
  checking.  You should see many lines of text gibberish, all lines of equal
  length.  And shortly before the data start, you should see "base64".  Save
  the message to a disk file (either PRG or SEQ), without ASCII to PETASCII
  translation.

  with three switches in the back.  Commodore also sold a four-switch version
  of the 1670.  If you keep the modem connected to the computer at all times,
  it will answer the telephone whenever the computer is on.  This program will
  write a one-block program to your disk drive (device 8).  Load that program
  (,8,1) to disable auto-answer mode.  Do NOT run that program; just loading
  it will do the job.  And any BASIC program in memory is preserved.

  and select "one linefeed after each carriage return".  Then, use this

  file "SWAP".  Then each time that you LOAD"SWAP",N,1 (where N is the device
  number), the two device numbers are swapped.  If you selected 8 and
  9, device 8 becomes device 9 and device 9 becomes device 8.  Do NOT RUN
  "SWAP"; just LOADing it does the job.  And any BASIC program in memory is
  preserved.

  trace the block pointers, printing the map either to the screen or to
  printer.
